Glue

Glue
Glue is from a gelatin component which is mostly taken from cowhide after boiling.
There are many sorts of glue and many different names are put on them according to the materials or finishing procedures.
In this studio “Sanzenbon glue” is used. This glue is very popular for Japanese paintings and restoration of cultural properties and it can also be used for Kana ryōshi. However, because this sort of glue is made by traditional methods, there is limited stock and the Sanzenbon glue will not be readily available in the future. Therefore, we recently try new kinds of glue and there have been no problems so far.
